When I called to ask about the cinnamon roll the person I spoked with was very helpful, super patient and extremely nice. The Brioche Doughnut is one of our favorite from them and was amazing. The Devil in Ganache was super rich and satisfying. This time I tried their Cinnamon Roll and I'm so glad I did. It was one of the best I've ever had. It is $10 for one but it's huge and really good!

Purchased a Devil in Ganache chocolate cake from my home on Vashon Island, Washington for pickup for my stepmother's 100th birthday. It was a special cake for a special occasion. The service was excellent and the cake was outstanding, probably the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten. Many comments about the quality of the cake from people at the party, which was only a few blocks from the bakery.

Their cheesecake is pretty good. I would definitely come back to try their other sweets and coffee.

The devil in ganache cake is unbelievable. It's my favorite double chocolate cake. I would love to know how they get the frosting to be so fudgy. If you like chocolate you have to try it. I've even custom ordered it for a birthday cake!

Recommended by FutureCanoe again - this place had not only our favorite donuts of the donut crawl, but also our favorite coffee! The donuts here are light, fluffy, not too greasy or heavy, and filled with an equally light custard that complemented the donut so well. It was a 10/10! Nothing I would change about it... other than I wish I bought more. The atmosphere is very home-y. There's some bar seating in the back, and 3 very small tables in front. There's additional seating outside as well. We even got to meet Toro (now we know who all those treats were for!)

The coffee here is amazing. I went on a Saturday because they have cinnamon rolls on the weekend. That was one of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. The icing is super delicious and the roll itself was perfectly doughy. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their items.

I wasn't totally sure how to pronounce the name at first, but Ma ze dahr is an awesome coffee shop and bakery in the West Village. When I lived nearby, I was on the lookout for cute, non-Starbucks, non-corporate spots that didn't serve burnt coffee. One morning, I found this place with a few people outside enjoying their coffee and pastries, and I had to check it out. It's got a really cute, French vibe (I think), but don't quote me on that. Inside, it's bright, clean, and super welcoming. The staff greets you when you walk in, which honestly doesn't happen that much in New York, especially since I moved here from the West Coast a few years ago. I've had some great lattes here--hot, iced, all kinds. The pastries are fresh and delicious, and it smells amazing in there. Prices are solid too, and the staff is always friendly. They also have some kind of loyalty program through Blackbird, though I'm not sure what I've actually earned from it yet. Overall, it's a really cute neighborhood spot, and I love it. Definitely worth a visit.

A very cute Cafe' with Pastries, Croissants, Cakes and so much more. Very homely and nice ambience and a very kind and responsive staff. We tried Iced Mocha, Latte', Coffee Cake and more... The coffee cake was really nice, very subtle level of sweetness and flavor. The Mocha was very good as well. If You're walking about in the area, this is a GREAT place to stop by, grab some coffee and cake, chill.. Definitely recommend a good place to wind down and enjoy something sweet...

Have only tried the chocolate cake here. The cake itself was dense just how I like it! However it was covered in wayyy too much frosting for me, and had a thick slab of freighting in the middle too. For many, this would be a huge plus (it was pretty good frosting) just not really my thing. I'm interested in going back to try the Salep!
